What is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?

CSA, or community-supported agriculture, is a program based on a mutually beneficial relationship between the farm and the people who consume our food. This relationship allows the community to purchase directly from the farm and support local agriculture by buying seasonal food that is grown naturally, without the use of harmful chemicals and pesticides. Families or individuals become members at the beginning of the season, and in return receive a weekly box vegetables from our farm...essentially purchasing "shares" of the farm's harvest in advance.

What's in the CSA box?

Our CSA boxes contain 6-8 different vegetables and fruits each week, depending on the season...
The amount and variety of produce increases over the course of the season. Each week we harvest the crops that are perfectly ready to eat, and send an email newsletter before you pickup with the box contents, farm news and recipes.
Overall, our CSA boxes tend to include about 25% more naturally grown food than this money would buy at a supermarket.

Spring/Fall CSA boxes may include: Kale, Chard, Lettuce, Beets, Carrots, Turnips, Radishes, Cabbage, Broccoli,
Winter Squash, Fennel, Arugula, Onions, Spinach, Tomatoes, Summer Squash, Cucumbers, and herbs, just to name a few.
Summer CSA boxes may include: Tomatoes (slicers and heirlooms), Cucumbers, Eggplant, Peppers, Potatoes,
Summer Squash, Onions, Garlic, Basil, Beets, Lettuce, Herbs, Carrots, Cherry Tomatoes, Beets, etc.

Why Join?

The benefits of a CSA are many...
eat healthy
- we strive to grow healthy, nutrient-dense food that is grown using only natural and sustainable methods, never any pesticides or chemicals.
know where your food comes from - all of the produce in our CSA boxes will be sourced directly from our farm and occasionally from other farmers in the foothills
support local economy - a sustainable lifestyle that benefits you and your neighbors.
build community- one of our favorite aspects of the CSA model...we love being YOUR farmers! Along with receiving food on a weekly basis, we'll also be sending weekly newsletters to keep you updated on farm happenings.
